Unshare has no account and no analytics, and never sees your TikTok password. One thing does leave your device: purchase information, sent to our payments provider so your subscription works across your devices.
Nothing about you personally. Unshare has no backend of its own, does not ask you to register, and does not know who you are. There is no analytics SDK, no crash reporting, no advertising or attribution framework, and no tracking of any kind. We do not have your name, email, contacts, location or TikTok credentials, and nothing about how you use the app is recorded or transmitted.
Unshare works by loading TikTok's own website inside the app, in a standard web view. You sign in on TikTok's real login page — Unshare never sees, handles or stores your TikTok password.
Your TikTok session (the cookies TikTok sets when you sign in) is stored by iOS on your device so you do not have to sign in every time. It is never transmitted to us. Signing out inside Unshare deletes it from the device, as does deleting the app.
While you use Unshare, your device communicates directly with TikTok, exactly as it would in a browser. That traffic is between you and TikTok and is governed by TikTok's privacy policy. Unshare is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by TikTok or ByteDance.
That is all. Lists of your reposts, likes and favourites are read while a cleanup runs and are not written to disk or sent anywhere.
Payment is processed entirely by Apple. Unshare never receives or stores your name, card details or billing address. Apple's handling of the transaction is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.
To keep track of whether a purchase is active — so it still works after you reinstall the app or switch to a new device — Unshare uses RevenueCat, a subscription management service. When you make or restore a purchase, the following is sent to RevenueCat:
This is used only to work out whether you have paid. It is not used for advertising, and it is not sold or shared for cross-app tracking. RevenueCat's handling is covered by its privacy policy. If you never make a purchase, no purchase data is created.
Free trials are granted by Apple as part of a subscription. Manage or cancel any subscription in Settings › your name › Subscriptions.
RevenueCat is the only third-party service in the app, and it is used solely for the purchase handling described above. There is no analytics, advertising, attribution or crash-reporting SDK, and no data is shared with anyone for advertising or cross-app tracking. Unshare does not use the Advertising Identifier and never presents an App Tracking Transparency prompt, because it does not track you.
Unshare is not directed at children under 13. The only data the app produces is the anonymous purchase record described above, and only if a purchase is made.
You have rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR and CCPA to access, correct, delete and port personal data held about you, and to object to its sale. We do not sell data and never have.
The only record connected to you is the anonymous purchase entry held by RevenueCat, keyed to a random ID rather than to your identity. To have it deleted, email the address below — include the approximate date and which plan you bought, since we have no other way to find you. Deleting that record does not cancel an Apple subscription; do that in Settings › your name › Subscriptions.
To remove everything Unshare has stored locally, sign out in the app or delete the app from your device.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. Material changes affecting how the app handles data will also be described in the App Store release notes.
